Information

In the laser cutting and marking process, issues such as uneven or faint markings often occur. This article will explore how to adjust settings to avoid these problems and provide a set of standard marking parameters for reference.

I. Marking Parameter Settings

1. Select the Marking Process: Draw the desired shape and automatically generate a marking layer. Adjust the marking process as needed.

2. Power and Duty Cycle: Generally set between 15 and 20, with a frequency of around 1000 to 2000.

3. Marking Gas and Pressure: Use the same gas as for cutting, with pressure set between 1 and 2.

II. Common Issues and Solutions

1. Inconsistent Marking Depth:

Cause: Dwell time not set to zero. During marking, dwell time is unnecessary and can cause more pronounced initial marks.

Solution: Set dwell time to zero and adjust the power curve. Manually drag the curve nodes to lower the power when the speed is slow and increase it as the speed increases.

2. Insufficient Marking Depth:

Solution: Increase the gas pressure or adjust the power and duty cycle. Set the focus between -5 and -10 to concentrate the energy more effectively.

3. Adjusting Mark Width:

To Increase Width: Set the focus between 5 and 15 and raise the cutting head height to diffuse the energy and widen the mark.

If the Mark is Too Faint: Without changing the focus position, slightly increase the gas pressure to between 1.5 and 2, or adjust the power and duty cycle as needed.

III. Application Extension: Evaporative Coating Removal

To improve cutting quality, rust or coating removal is sometimes necessary. By selecting the evaporative coating removal option and using the same parameter settings as for increasing mark width, you can effectively remove rust and enhance cutting quality.

By understanding and adjusting these marking parameters, you can achieve better laser marking results, improving both production quality and efficiency. We hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us.
